In the city of Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia, a fire broke out on the territory of a chemical enterprise. On Wednesday, April 19, the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Nizhny Novgorod region reported.
“At 12:47 a fire was reported at the address: 99 A, Avtozavodskoye Highway, Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod Region. Upon the arrival of the first units, the warehouse was burning in a field, according to preliminary information. Russian rescuers said in a statement, “4000 square meters. No information was received about the victims. It takes 32 people and 8 pieces of equipment to put out the fire,” he said.
Later, the rescuers had to deploy additional forces – more than 80 people and 27 pieces of equipment. But it seems that it is not so easy to deal with the fire – firefighters prepared a fire train and a Mi-8 helicopter.
At the same time, a fire broke out on the territory of the chemical enterprise belonging to the Astat research and production company, according to local media reports. According to journalists, this is the fourth fire at chemical plants in Dzerzhinsk in nine days. The territory of the Zarya chemical equipment factory, a warehouse with acetone and the territory of the Eco-Megapolis enterprise, which produces antiseptics, was recently burned there.
Recall that on April 17, a cafe on the Berezhkovskaya embankment in the center of Moscow caught fire. It was reported that a fire broke out in an area of 600 square meters.
Earlier, on the night of April 16-17, a large-scale fire broke out in connection with which part of the Russian city was de-energized. There were allegedly no casualties and traditionally Ukraine was blamed for what happened.
