The movement of long-distance trains was stopped due to workers’ strikes on April 21 in Germany. The Deutsche Bahn concern warned citizens in advance about disruptions in the railway.

The strike began at 4 am Moscow time and will last 10 hours.

The transport situation in the country is further complicated by the fact that strikes were also organized by workers at four airports: Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Cologne-Bonn and Stuttgart. In two days, airlines had to cancel 700 flights.

Strikes at airports were organized by the Verdi union. Employees demand to increase their salary for working at “inconvenient” hours. Negotiations of trade union with a management have not given results.

Previously, the union organized strikes on March 12, they took place at three airports in Germany. On January 23, a major strike stopped the work of the Berlin airport.
