Several Russian news agencies reported sightings of a drone over Moscow airport, and flights were delayed indefinitely, according to one passenger. FlightRadar service also showed that there were no aircraft over the airport.

According to the news of RIA Novosti, based on sources, Moscow Vnukovo airport management decided to temporarily close the airspace due to reports of drones.

Data from the FlightRadar service also shows that there are no aircraft on the airport.

According to public figures, reports of the drones came in around 6pm.

It is reported from one of the passengers that the object was discovered over the Vnukovo region and that the flight from Pulkovo Airport in the Leningrad Region was delayed indefinitely until it is clear.

It was noted that after the closure of the airspace, the departure of many planes was delayed for about an hour.

According to the passenger, after landing, the captain of the plane declared that take-off was impossible.

But later the press service denied the information that the airspace was closed due to the possible appearance of a drone.

“Vnukovo Airport is currently operating normally. The airspace is open,” RBC said, citing a statement from the airport’s press service.

On April 24, it was reported that a Ukrainian drone loaded with 17 kg of explosives crashed in the Moscow region. According to Russian journalists, the kamikaze drone was allegedly loaded with 30 briquettes of C4 plastic explosive. Propagandists said it was a Ukrainian-made UJ-22 Airborn unmanned aerial vehicle that could travel up to 800 km.

Information emerged that a Ukrainian drone exploded near Belgorod the other day. Sources claim that the Russian border guards managed to “take down” the device with the help of weapons against a drone.

It was previously reported that the Ukrainian Pegasus kamikaze drone destroyed the Russian MANPADS installed on the roof of the house. An experienced operator was able to deftly steer the drone.
