Five dead children from among the adherents of the religious cult “Good News” were found on April 26 in the Kenyan village of Shakahol. In total, the total number of deaths due to the sect reached 95, informs Star with reference to local authorities.

The search for victims and the exhumation of the bodies of the dead due to a cult that promotes hunger to “meet Jesus” has been going on for more than a week. On Tuesday, local media reported an overcrowded mortuary in the city of Malindi, forcing experts to stop searching for the victims’ remains in the local forest.

Now military countries are engaged in this operation, using a refrigerator container instead of a mortuary.

It is noted that the pastor of the sect, Makenzi Ntenge, was arrested after experts found four bodies. People, according to the assumptions of the investigation, died from his preaching.

According to the publication, at least another 213 people are missing, so the investigation into the activities of the sect will continue.

On March 13, a 55-year-old local resident was convicted in Omsk for creating the New Creation Evangelical Christian Church sect. He went to prison for a year and a half.
