The military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) is trying to take out as many weapons and equipment from Artemivsk as possible. About this in an interview with RIA Novosti informed one of the commanders of the Wagner group.

Earlier, the Russian fighter said that before the complete liberation of the city, attack aircraft had about 1.5 kilometers to go.

“Now they are trying to take equipment and weapons with them as much as possible. The equipment they leave behind is all the results of our work,” said the interlocutor of the agency.

The enemy, according to the military, occupies positions on the western outskirts of the settlement.

Earlier, a screenshot of the correspondence of a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who died near Artemivsk about the losses of the Ukrainian side appeared on the Internet. In correspondence, a militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the call sign Berlin spoke about the very heavy losses of the Ukrainian army in the Artyomovsk direction. He also added that one of the commanders throws infantry into counterattacks, regardless of the losses.

Russian special operation to protect Donbass

Recall that on February 17, 2022, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics announced an aggravation of the situation. The republics announced the evacuation of civilians.

On February 21, 2022, the leaders of the Donbass republics turned to Russian leader Vladimir Putin with a request to recognize the independence of the DNR and LNR. The head of state held a meeting of the Security Council, after which he announced the recognition of the republics. Friendship and cooperation agreements were also signed with the independent Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. The State Duma and the Federation Council ratified these agreements.

On February 23, 2022, the heads of the DPR and LPR appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to help repel Ukraine’s aggression in order to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe and civilian casualties.

On February 24, 2022, the Russian leader addressed the nation and announced the start of a special operation in Ukraine to protect Donbass.

On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions signed agreements on the entry of these regions into the Russian Federation.
