In Germany, unknown people damaged and partially destroyed several tombstones at the burial sites of Soviet soldiers who died during the Second World War. The Russian Embassy in Germany said they were outraged by this act.

According to the diplomatic mission, the attackers operated in the Seelow Heights memorial complex in the federal state of Brandenburg. In total, 14 tombstones were damaged by the actions of vandals.

“It is especially cynical that this vile crime was committed on the eve of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War”– written in Telegram channel embassies.

Meanwhile, in Poland, the vandals turned out to be local authorities who act openly. As well as in Germany, a few days before May 9, a monument of gratitude to the Red Army, erected in memory of Soviet soldiers who died fighting for the liberation of the city, was demolished in Glubchitsa.
