Surfer faces public flogging and prison for naked brawl

A completely naked Australian surfer attacked a resident of Indonesia. Now he faces jail and public flogging. CNN.

According to the channel, a 23-year-old tourist rioted on the island of Simelue. Law enforcement officers suggest that he beat a guard and stabbed a fisherman.

“According to people present at the scene, (the man) came out of his room completely naked, screaming and causing noise.”– the TV channel quotes the head of the local police.

For public drinking of alcohol, a surfer faces 40 lashes and a more severe punishment – up to 2.5 years in prison.
