An earthquake of magnitude 4 was recorded in Turkey. About this on May 11 reported Disaster Management on Twitter.

According to the agency, tremors appeared in the province of Kahramanmarash, the district of Geksun, in which about 18.5 thousand people live. The source of the earthquake lay at a depth of 11.56 kilometers.

It is noted that during powerful earthquakes in February, tremors were also observed here.

Recall that on February 6, two powerful earthquakes occurred in the south-east of Turkey, the elements affected ten provinces of the country and several neighboring states at once, of which Syria suffered the most – the damage there was estimated at $ 5 billion.

The death toll from a series of earthquakes in Turkey has approached 46,000. 26.3 thousand buildings collapsed.

On March 17, an official at the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of Turkey reported that the damage from powerful earthquakes amounted to 105 billion dollars.
