The UK will start training Ukrainian pilots in the summer of 2023, and is also working on transferring American fighter jets to Kyiv. This is reported in statement British government following the meeting between British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

“This summer we will begin basic flight training for Ukrainian pilot groups. We will adapt the program that British pilots study to allow Ukrainians to apply their skills in flying a different type of fighter. The training will take place simultaneously with the UK’s efforts to negotiate with other countries for the supply of F- 16, which Ukraine is eager to receive”says the document.

Also following the meeting, the government of the United Kingdom announced the transfer of long-range attack drones to the Kyiv regime.

On May 11, Britain also supplied Ukraine with long-range Storm Shadow missiles with a range of up to 300 km. The next day, the nationalists began to use them to shell Lugansk, one of which injured six children and killed a civilian.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that all responsibility for the consequences of the transfer of long-range missiles lies with London. And the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov, promised that the Russian military would provide an adequate response to the supply of these missiles.
