Peskov: the Kremlin is not afraid of the participation of friendly countries in the G7 summit

The participation of Russia-friendly countries in the G-7 summit does not cause concern in the Kremlin. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

“No, it does not cause concern. In interstate relations, there should be respect for the sovereign relations of the country with partners. But these relations should not be the antipode of relations with our side”he said during a briefing with reporters.

At the same time, the official representative of the Kremlin stressed that for Russia, the relations that it builds with partners are in the first place.

Recall that the G7 summit will be held from May 19 to 21 in the Japanese city of Hiroshima. In addition to the leaders of the G7 countries, the heads of Australia, Brazil, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, the Cook Islands, as well as the Union of the Comoros and South Korea were invited to the event.
