Candidate of Historical Sciences Vadim Shabunin told REN TV some details about the empress’s love for outfits.

“A day she changed seven dresses. Considering the fact that some of her dresses burned down during a fire in Moscow, about 7 thousand. She constantly replenished her collection – to the delight of the tailors, who were inundated with orders. But this is her collecting gradually became just a passion. A huge number of dresses had to be stored somewhere, so there was not always such an opportunity. And she gave them to charity, to the church and continued to order new ones, ” – shared the historian.
