The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation continues to investigate the criminal case of Prosecutor Khan Karim Asad Ahmad and Judges Tomoko Akane, Rosario Salvatore Aitala and Sergio Gerardo Ugalde Godinez of the International Criminal Court. Prosecutor and Rosario Salvatore Aitala charged in absentia, reports press office departments.
Recall that on February 22, the Pre-Trial Chamber II of the International Criminal Court received a petition for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Together with him, they asked to take into custody the Commissioner for Children’s Rights under the President of the Russian Federation, Maria Lvova-Belova.
However, criminal prosecution is illegal because there are no grounds for it. In addition, the “Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Crimes against Internationally Protected Persons” guarantees immunity to heads of state in this matter.
To date, the investigation has collected enough evidence to charge the prosecutor and the judge in absentia. Both employees of the ICC are wanted.
