President of the United States Joe Biden confirmed that he is reviewing the application of the 14th Amendment. if he fails to negotiate a debt ceiling with the Republicans.
“I’m reviewing the 14th Amendment to see if we have the authority, I think we have the authority,” the president said.
Biden pointed out that the main problem is that there is a legal problem which finally ends up causing the same non-payment problem due to the fact that the new debt ceiling is not approved.
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the House of Representatives from the Republican Party Kevin McCarthy assured that The White House simply did not want to put up with spending cuts. at the levels the Republicans insist on.
