More than 300 years of jail threat: Donald Trump arrested in Miami court – CNN

Reporters said Trump came to the federal courthouse in Miami for an unprecedented hearing. 37 criminal charges filed for possession of classified documents

Former US President Donald Trump has been formally arrested in a Miami courtroom. He writes on the CNN broadcast about it.

On June 13, it was reported that Trump had arrived at a federal courthouse in Miami for an unprecedented hearing. Hearings are pending on 37 charges charged with conspiring with a senior aide to hide classified documents from the government and their own lawyers.

It is noteworthy that 31 of journalists reported that Trump faces up to 10 years in prison (more than 300 years in total). Alongside Trump, his deputy, Walt Knowth, is also indicted.

The publication writes that special prosecutor Jack Smith was also present at the court session. Smith was appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland in November to investigate whether Trump had classified documents. Last week, he announced an indictment on the case, stating that he would seek a speedy trial.

“Our laws protecting national defense information are critical to the security of the United States and must be followed,” Smith said.

Recall that US Attorney General Ankoush Hardory said that if Trump wins the election in 2024, he can free himself from prison.
