ICE’s online tool to change address for non-citizens is fully operational

Online change of address form Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for non-citizens, first announced in April 2023, is now fully operational, the federal agency said in a statement.

This new system gives non-citizens the ability to update their information online.in addition to the existing options, do it over the phone or in person.

The ability to access the change of address form online is expected to allow non-citizens easier to fulfill your immigration obligations and this will improve the accuracy of the address information reported by ICE by using address autocompletion to achieve the standardization used by the US Postal Service.

After successfully entering a valid mailing address, if the non-citizen is currently in the process of being deported under Section 240 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), the online interactive will display the noncitizen’s information on how to also change their address in immigration court. as needed, using Form EOIR-33 Change of Address/Contact Information for the Immigration Review Executive Office (EOIR), which can be sent by mail, in person to the immigration court or online through EOIR respondent access.

Form EOIR-33 is currently available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Haitian Creole, Portuguese and Punjabi.

To determine if a non-citizen needs a notice of appearance, ICE will perform system checks to ensure that the noncitizen is not already in deportation proceedings under Section 240 of the INA, does not have a pending U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) asylum claim, and that you do not yet have a final removal order.

Non-citizens who are eligible but have not yet received a notification to appearthat is, those who have been released on parole with an alternative to detention may be asked to indicate whether they wish to be notified of their appearance by mail or in person by scheduling an appointment at their local ERO office.

To process an address change online, the system requires the full name, number, and verified non-work address. Filling out the form takes about a minute.

All non-citizens in the United States, except A and G visa holders and visa-free visitors, they must also report the change of address to USCIS within 10 days of the move.
