The level of insecurity in the Mexican state of Guanajuato is alarming: CCTV cameras have documented some of the brutal events that devastated the population, as happened in Celaya, Guanajuato, when businessman was shot from behind after speaking out against kidnapping.
The video was shared on social media, where it quickly went viral because it exposes something that some internet users believe can happen to anyone. The footage shows the businessman walking outside the pharmacy when several men try to push him into the car, suddenly with a movement he manages to break free and run away.
But what seemed like luck became the victim’s death sentenceAs one of the kidnappers caught up with him and shot him several times in the back, his anger was such that even on the ground he continued to bombard him with bullets. From what was seen, the kidnappers had fled and the man was still dying.
While the entire video is scary, there is something scarier that the attempted kidnapping and subsequent murder took place in broad daylight, in front of several people as the footage shows, the only thing they could do was try to escape in the middle of the ensuing firefight.
Who was the murdered businessman?
According to the weekly Proceso, the victim was a businessman Marco Polo Gamez, originally from the city of Celaya, where the events took place. He was in the transport business, was a partner in a passenger bus line and owner of a transport company.
For its part, the digital portal Ágora de Celaya recorded the demand of representatives of the transport sector to solve this crime.
“The authorities cannot justify that he behaved badly, this is a reality, they attack and kill the inhabitants of Selay, citizens,” he said.
