Authorities arrested in Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to a third suspect in connection with a murder on a subway train in Long Beach..
This statement The Long Beach Police Department said 21-year-old Hispanic Gael Cruz Gonzalez, a Compton resident, was detained by US Customs and Border Protection agents. when trying to board a flight at Los Angeles International Airport bound for Mexico.
Cruz-Gonzalez was taken into custody. allegedly in connection with the assassination of Luis Fernando Polita on 12 April.
Polita was stabbed to death on a Metro Blue Line train in Long Beach.
The victim received multiple stab wounds to the upper body.injuries that led to his death after he was treated by paramedics who treated him in a van and took him to the hospital.
According to the investigation, Polita boarded a train outside of Long Beach and was attacked by three men who boarded the transport after it arrived in town.
Hispanic he was immediately attacked by one of the assailants with a knife, and later they fled on foot when the train stopped at the station.
A few days after the murder, two teenagers were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the crime.
The authorities accused Akili Collins, 18, and Melaka Daniel, 19, as suspects in Polita’s murder..
For now, Investigation continues to find out the cause of the stabbingbut the detectives suspect it was the result of a train collision.
Cruz-Gonzalez was imprisoned in the city of Long Beach. and is being held by authorities on $2 million bail.
Collins’ bail was set at $2 million.and Daniel has $1 million.
