The fire in the forest near the Turkish resort town of Marmaris could have started because of attempts to hide the traces of the murder. About it informs Hurriyet edition.
The country’s prosecutor’s office found that the fire was not of natural origin. According to law enforcement officers, the body of the murdered man was thrown into the forest and set on fire to hide the traces of the crime.
The department announced the start of a large-scale investigation into the circumstances.
The forest fire in Marmaris started on the afternoon of 23 June. Five planes, four helicopters and 20 fire trucks took part in its extinguishing. While extinguishing the fire, a body was found near the source of the fire.
A natural fire has already been blazing in the forests of Altai for several days. It has already affected more than six thousand hectares of the green zone. Five villages of the Altai Territory are in the zone of potential risk. Rescuers continue to extinguish the fire.
