In Brazil, Erivaldo Moriman fought a jaguar with his bare hands, drove it away and saved his nephews, informs Daily Mail.
A man with two nephews aged 15 and 18 stayed at a campsite on the Juruena River. One morning, Moriman went for a run, and when he returned, he found a jaguar at the tent.
The Brazilian was frightened for his relatives and began, waving his arms and shouting, to attract the attention of a predator to himself. It worked out – the jaguar forgot about his nephews, approached Erivaldo and sharply attacked him.
Having dug its claws into Moriman, the jaguar knocked him to the ground. At that moment, the man, desperately resisting, grabbed the animal by the paw. Then the jaguar bit the Brazilian on the head, leaving a deep wound.
Despite this, the man was able to drive the jaguar away with his bare hands. When the beast left, the nephews rushed to his aid. All three then spent two hours on a boat to get to the nearest medical post.
Moriman was given first aid there and then taken to a regional hospital. Doctors gave the man 150 stitches to close up all the wounds after the attack. The next day, the Brazilian was discharged from the hospital.
