American businessman and billionaire Elon Musk has denied charges of treason for refusing to activate Starlink off the coast of Crimea last year.

He stated that he was a US citizen and only had a passport from that country.

No matter what happens, I will fight for America and die in it“, – wrote entrepreneur in social network X.

Musk called those who call him such traitors.

In this way, the businessman responded to the publications of the System Update program, which stated that some neoconservatives and journalists consider him a traitor.

Earlier, on September 8, Elon Musk confirmed that he prevented the Ukrainian Armed Forces from attacking the Russian Black Sea Fleet off the coast of Crimea in 2022.

The entrepreneur denied reports that at that time he limited the operation of the Starlink satellite communication service. According to him, the specified Starlink regions were not activated, and therefore Musk’s company SpaceX did not deactivate anything.

However, he confirmed that he received an emergency request to do so and refused.
