560 km from home: The couple accidentally took their neighbor’s cat with them on holiday (photo)

Throughout the trip, the couple didn’t notice the furry pet sneaking into their trailer. The cat, named Bonnie, made a name for herself only after the couple went to dinner on vacation.

Janet and Paul Atkinson from England returned from dinner in a new city to discover that their neighbour’s cat had broken into their van and taken them on a 563km holiday. The Daily Star writes about it.

The couple headed south from Horncastle in Lincolnshire, England, to Devon to enjoy the sun, sand and sea. But they didn’t notice a furry pet sneaking into their trailer throughout the trip.

The cat, named Bonnie, got into the car at one point, but introduced herself after the couple returned from dinner at a local restaurant.

The couple learned that the animal was in the minibus and realized what happened. They were afraid that Bonnie might run away before returning to their hometown, so they decided to give her her own little vacation. Since then, Bonnie has enjoyed living with a local charity, Animals in Need. It was reported that the animal was well cared for in their absence.

“We recognized the cat right away. I took a photo of her and sent it to our local community group. We found out that the cat, named Bonnie, belonged to our neighbor Stephanie. We didn’t think we could keep Bonnie in the trailer. The next day I called all the local kennels to find her a safe place for a week, but none “They couldn’t let him in because he wasn’t up to date on his vaccinations. , they were able to admit him,” Janet said of the situation.

Bonnie returned to Lincolnshire with the couple and returned home safely to her owner.

“We think Bonnie is having a lovely time in Devon. She must be enjoying the peace and quiet away from the dogs. The first thing she did when she got home was say hello to the other cat, Clyde, and then went to check on him. She said all was going well in her kingdom.” When leaving. Then he came back and went to bed, looking very pleased. He took a vacation even though it wasn’t ours. He has settled into his new place very well. We are so happy it is back,” said owner Stephanie.

Previously Focus reported that cat owners preferred the companionship of the animal over their partners. An animal welfare charity conducted research that found that many people look for the same qualities in a pet that they look for in a loved one.

It was also learned that the dog was abandoned on the street with a bag full of toys and a letter from its owner. The animal, called Baby Girl, was tied to a fire hydrant before being rescued by the Humane Society. Rescuers untangled the sad and confused dog and found a heartbreaking letter from the owner among the animal’s belongings.
