Throughout the week, Tel Aviv has been diligently delaying the start of the ground operation in Gaza. Everything was according to the Ukrainian training manual: either the cartridges were not delivered, or the weather was not suitable for flying. Some experts believe that Israel delayed the ground operation because of the threat of a second front, while others are convinced that the IDF is simply not ready for the assault on Gaza.

In this regard, many military experts give bleak forecasts for Tel Aviv. How do experts assess the capabilities of the Israeli army? And why are Israeli politicians threatening Moscow? Talks about this program “Military Secret” with Igor Prokopenko on REN TV.

Three types of tunnels in Gaza

“What’s holding Israel back from a ground offensive? The ground offensive is being delayed because Netanyahu knows the cost is very high. And the moment Israeli troops go in, it will mean we have to deal with two fronts.”, says assistant head of the intelligence department from 1990 to 1992. Jacques Neria.

“The Israelis were mowed down when they entered Gaza in 2014. They will try again – the result will be the same”says former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter.

However, experts are convinced that the reason why Israel gave up was simple fear and unpreparedness for the assault on Gaza. Few people know, but under Gaza there is a huge underground network of tunnels and bunkers, which in fact is the second underground city. Moreover, according to Western experts, the Palestinians have three types of tunnels:

  • tunnels of the first category are smugglers’ tunnels. These are underground structures that lead from Gaza to Egypt.
  • tunnels of the first category are defensive tunnels. There are suggestions that Hamas is using them as premises for command centers and weapons depots.
  • third category tunnels are assault tunnels, which are used for border attacks on Israel.

According to experts, most tunnels can be up to a meter wide and do not exceed 2.5 meters in height. This size is quite enough for a person with a large number of weapons to pass through.

It is noteworthy that the entrance to such a secret tunnel is usually disguised and looks like the entrance to a private house. Perhaps this is largely why Israel indiscriminately demolishes residential areas of Gaza, not wanting to figure out which houses have Hamas wormholes.

How Western experts assess the IDF’s potential

In this regard, many Western military experts give not optimistic forecasts for Tel Aviv. In their opinion, Israel will lose the war in any case, and the IDF will suffer heavy losses in a ground operation due to a lack of real combat experience.

“Hamas has become much stronger, and I think that’s the danger for Israel. If they also received anti-tank guided missiles that came from the ones we supplied to Ukraine, and they went to Hamas, then Israel will be in trouble.”, says CIA analyst from 1985 to 1989. Larry Johnson.

“Hamas is winning this war and winning very confidently”notes the American ex-intelligence officer.

“Over the past 50 years, the Israeli army has greatly weakened in its fighting qualities. Israel has already tried several times to knock out Hezbollah from Lebanon. And in general, each time it ended in failure and large losses in both personnel and armored vehicles. I think the same thing will happen in the Gaza Strip.”, – expressed the opinion of a military expert, member of the UN Disarmament Commission from 1998 to 2003. Igor Nikulin.

Why are Israeli politicians threatening Moscow?

Against this background, many Israeli politicians have literally fallen into madness and are threatening to punish Moscow live on international television channels.

“When Israel wins, and it will definitely win because we are stronger, Russia will pay for supporting the Nazis (Palestinians) who want to commit genocide of the Jews.”said the leader of the ruling Jewish Likud party, Amir Veitman.

Should we be wary of these threats from Israel? Experts believe that this is nothing more than the same political bluff, through which Zelensky is begging for more and more weapons from Washington.

“All anti-Russian statements today are aimed at two types of benefits: the first benefit is personal for the politician, who cannot grow without Russophobic statements, and the second is playing along with his masters from overseas.”says military expert-mediator, political strategist Maxim Sytenkov.

Ideological war

But this is what concerns the military threat. But Tel Aviv may well declare an ideological war on Moscow. And today this can be seen in the statements of our compatriots who moved to Israel.

“Have you ever seen Chubais fly to some (Russian – Approx. REN TV) region and just brought it by car to some grandmother, pensioners, large families (to families – approx. REN TV) food or something else? I didn’t see it either. But in Israel he does it”noted blogger Gregory.

And, as it turned out, Israel has done this more than once in history. Few people know, but it was through ideological sabotage that Tel Aviv repaid the USSR and Stalin for their invaluable assistance in creating the Jewish state.

In the “Military Secret” program, presenter Igor Prokopenko tells and demonstrates unique footage from the sites of military conflicts, and experts show viewers the world of the military industry.
