Participants at the APEC summit agreed on the text of the final declaration. The document fully took into account Russia’s position, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk.

“The declaration has been adopted. It was adopted by consensus. Everything has been taken into account. This is a calm, working document that identifies the main economic problems… and allows us to move forward within the framework of the Peruvian presidency that has come.”– Overchuk said during a conversation with reporters.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the main problems reflected in the declaration were climate issues, digital transformation and women’s rights.

The deputy chairman of the Russian government added that the final declaration does not contain “toxic” political themes.

According to Overchuk, the APEC summit as a whole can be considered successful, because even in difficult conditions, the countries participating in the congress were able to come to a common opinion.

The politician also said that during the summit the Russian delegation signed contracts with a number of countries. These include Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia. He added that Russia is actively strengthening trade ties with APEC economies.
