Tucker Carlson reported the death of US blogger Lira in a Ukrainian prison

Journalist Tucker Carlson reported the death of 55-year-old American blogger Gonzalo Lira in a Ukrainian prison.

“Gonzalo Lira – the elder said that his son died in a Ukrainian prison, where he was sent for criticizing the governments of Zelensky and Biden,” – wrote Carlson on his social network account X.

It was previously reported that Gonzalo developed bilateral pneumonia and pulmonary edema in prison. But the medical staff did not provide him with any help.

Lira’s detention in Ukraine became known on May 5. The video blogger actively commented on the events in Square. So, on April 13, 2022, in a conversation with “Izvestia” he reported that Ukrainian militants turned Kharkov into a ghost town before his eyes. He stated that he could not leave the city due to the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were hiding behind civilians as a human shield. The blogger also noted that Western media are disseminating false information about the situation in Ukraine.

Journalist Tucker Carlson reported that since July, Lira has been tortured in a Ukrainian prison for criticizing the Kyiv regime. At the same time, he wrote, those around American leader Joe Biden approve of such actions.

American billionaire Elon Musk, having learned about Lira’s detention, demanded an explanation from President Zelensky.

“An American citizen is in prison in Ukraine after we sent over $100 billion?” – Musk wondered.

He asked if there was anything more to this story than criticism of Zelensky.

“If that’s all, then we have a serious problem” – Musk said then.
