According to expert Ilya Neskhodovsky, the Kremlin may increase taxes in some sectors and affect inflation, but this will still not provide the resources that Russia has in 2022 or even 2023.
Due to the war against Ukraine, the authorities of the Russian Federation are transferring more and more sectors of the economy to manual mode. Russia does not have enough margin of safety for a long war. Economic expert Ilya Neskhodovsky announced this on February 11 on the FREEDOM TV channel.
He believes that the Russian Federation, relying on the increase in oil prices, helps create hotbeds of military tension in oil transport areas.
“Ukraine’s allies, NATO countries, are quite active and fast in responding to these challenges. This does not allow oil prices to rise much above the limits we would like to see in Russia,” said Ilya Neskhodovsky.
He noted that our Armed Forces and special services of Ukraine are taking active measures on the territory of the Russian Federation and worsening the ability to send oil and oil products abroad, which affects the Russian economy and reduces budget revenues.
The expert states that the Kremlin may increase taxes in some sectors, but this will not happen before the presidential elections in the Russian Federation.
“We need to show maximum prosperity before the elections, the most beautiful Potemkin villages to be able to vote… We are waiting for March, when it will be impossible to keep the economy in this state and many things will go upside down. ” Neskhodovsky believes.
According to him, there will definitely be inflation in Russia, there will be an increase in the cost of housing and communal services, there will also be an increase in the cost of medicines and the like.
“All this will happen because there are no resources to prevent it. There is no production, no investment, there is not enough domestic demand. Therefore, the cliff is inevitable,” the expert emphasized.
He also noted that the money intended for the Russian army was successfully stolen by military officials, generals and everyone else who had anything to do with this matter.
“Very beautiful pictures were reflected on paper: Armata tanks, missiles that could not be shot down, cartoons were drawn, it was explained that the costs were high, but it did not create the desired effect… By providing effective resistance to the aggressor, he was destroying his tanks in large quantities, but it turned out that the volumes that were constantly talked about every year did not exist because they were stolen.” explained Ilya Neskhodovsky.
Let’s recall that Focus wrote on February 11 that China stated that Russia should return Vladivostok. Zichen Wang, a Chinese expert from the CCG, stated that the Kremlin president’s obsession with history is not constructive, because in the modern world, current laws are valid, not the laws of the 8th century.
