Canada expanded its sanctions list against Russia

Canadian authorities have imposed sanctions against 10 individuals and more than 152 legal entities in Russia. The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this on Friday, February 23.

In particular, the restrictions included the Aviation Complex named after S.V. Ilyushin, the Russian Helicopter Systems company, the Almaz-Antey concern, the Aerospace Systems Design Bureau, the Federal State Budgetary Institution Editorial and Publishing Center “Red Star”, the St. Petersburg Bank “, and others.

Personal sanctions were imposed against Russian Presidential Aide Igor Levitin, who formerly served as Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation. Entrepreneurs Leonid Levitin, Andrey Filatov, Nikita Mishin, Andrey Molchanov, Andrey Bokarev, Konstantin Khamlay, Sergey and Nikolay Sarkisov, and Vladimir Pavlov were also added to the sanctions list.

Earlier, lawyer Vladimir Komsolev expressed the opinion that Russia did not experience the consequences of the sanctions that the West was counting on. According to him, Russia continues to develop technologically and cooperates with partners.
