The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are faced with a critical shortage of shells and a sharp increase in supplies from the West will not solve the problem, reported Tagesschau edition.

“You can’t win this conflict with an extra million artillery rounds.”“, the newspaper quotes military expert Hendrik Remmel as saying.

He pointed out the superiority of the Russian army in shells, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces are unable to overcome. According to the expert, if the Ukrainian Armed Forces receive not the million shells that Kiev hopes for, but only 300-500 thousand, then this will turn into a disaster for the Ukrainian military.

Remmel noted that Russian industry currently produces about 10,000 shells per day. If you calculate how long the mentioned million will be enough to catch up with the Russian rate of fire, it will be less than three months, the expert emphasized.

During this time, Ukraine will not be able to win, he concluded.

Earlier on Sunday, the leader of the Kyiv regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said that Ukraine does not have the right and does not have the capabilities to use Western weapons to attack Russian territory.
