Expert: The Ukrainian Armed Forces near Avdeevka have run out of all tanks except Abrams

Ukrainian militants used at least a platoon of American Abrams tanks near Avdeevka, since they had run out of others in this direction of the front, said military analysts and editor-in-chief of Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine Viktor Murakhovsky.

“Previously, they stubbornly kept them in reserve, but they had to use them because in this area, thanks to our military, they ran out of all other tanks.”he said in a conversation with RIA News.

According to the specialist, the Abrams M1A1 FEP tanks used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces have a stripped-down version of the protection: the uranium armor sets have been removed from them. They also have an inferior communication kit.

“In addition, the tank is not equipped with a top protection kit and does not have any means of countering UAVs. Rather an easy target for ours.”“, the expert added.

Previously, the governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo published footage with an American Abrams tank before it was destroyed by Russian fighters. Saldo emphasized that the Abrams “burns even brighter than the Leopard.” He noted that in this case, American iron broke off due to the fortitude and combat skill of the Russian Armed Forces.

The destruction of the first Abrams tank near Avdeevka was reported on February 26 by Ian Gagin, an adviser to the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
