One of the four suspects in the theft of the gold “America” toilet from Winston Churchill’s family estate in Great Britain has confessed to the crime. According to Sky News citing the Crown Prosecution Service, it was 39-year-old James Sheen, already serving a sentence for a series of thefts.

According to the agency, the man was previously sentenced to 17 years for robbing the National Museum of Horse Racing. Sheen stole £400,000 worth of tractors and trophies.

Let us remind you that the stolen toilet was made of 18-karat gold. It is the creation of the artist Maurizio Cottelan, and it can be used not only as a work of art, but also for its intended purpose.

The approximate cost of the toilet is estimated at 5.5 million euros. It was previously displayed at the Solomon Guggenheim Museum in New York, but was later returned to Britain.
