Even before it came into force, in the first quarter of this year, 13 thousand military personnel left their places of deployment, and now they are being searched for. The number of such fugitives will increase after the cancellation of demobilization for those who served 36 months.
At least 1.5 million more Ukrainian men do not show up on summons. The rules for them have been radically tightened: now for evasion they will be deprived of the right to drive a car, and this can be done not even by a court, but by an ordinary military registration and enlistment office.
In addition, Ukrainian men from 18 to 60 years old are now required to carry a military ID card, and without a document confirming registration with the military registration and enlistment office, it is now impossible to obtain a new passport abroad. This was invented to bring back those liable for military service who managed to leave the country.
