Democratic senatorial leader Chuck Schumer called far-right Republicans in the US House of Representatives “vile” reports April 26 The New York Times.

This is how he commented on the protracted process of approving a bill on the allocation of military assistance to the allies of the United States, including Ukraine.

“They are nasty, negative and don’t want to do anything at all.”,” the newspaper quotes Schumer as saying.

The politician added that he does not consider the US Congress incompetent, but, according to him, “extreme right-wing elements should not be allowed to rule the roost” and the recent approval by parliament of several bills, including a project to help Washington’s allies, proved this.

On April 20, the US House of Representatives passed a bill to provide aid to Ukraine. On April 24, US President Joe Biden signed a bill on military assistance to Ukraine.

After this, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that new supplies of Western weapons to the Kyiv regime would not be able to reverse the situation at the front.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly emphasized that any cargo with weapons supplied by Western countries to Ukraine will be a legitimate target for the Russian Aerospace Forces. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that arms supplies would not stop, but would prolong the conflict in Ukraine, and called the position of Western countries “harmful” and “counterproductive.”
