The policy of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was very different from what the West declares. He made a corresponding statement in a conversation with “Izvestia“Member of the Bundestag from the Alternative for Germany party Steffen Kotre.

Commenting on the assassination attempt on Fico, Kotre emphasized that for now one can only guess what motives motivated the attacker.

“We can look at Fico’s policy, which was clearly different from the policy of Brussels and the West in general. He wanted a compromise in relations with Russia, said that sanctions were useless, and also opposed arms supplies that only prolong the conflict, just the opposite,” he advocated negotiations. Perhaps this is somehow connected, but still this is speculation.”noted the parliamentarian.

He also drew attention to the fact that the Slovak Prime Minister did not want to provide any advantages to sexual minorities. This is also very different from the policy of Brussels.

Cotre added that now the assassination attempt on Fico will be used for political purposes.

“Today in the Bundestag we saw how the German Minister of Economics Robert Habeck used what happened to rebuff political rivals – he indirectly accused the Alternative for Germany of doing such a thing. This is terrible.”concluded Cotret.

Let us remind you that Fico was attacked on May 15 after a government meeting in the city of Gandlova. According to media reports, the prime minister was wounded in a limb, chest and stomach, and is now in serious condition.

The shooter of Fico was detained. According to local media, he turned out to be a 71-year-old man who legally owns a weapon. An eyewitness to the incident, Lyubica Valkova, clarified that the prime minister was shot at least three times.
