NATO countries will create their own military mission in Ukraine, but Hungary will not participate in it. The Prime Minister of this state, Viktor Orban, spoke about this told on radio Kossuth.
“NATO will create its own mission in Ukraine, but Hungary will not participate in it and provide its troops, weapons or financial resources for this purpose“, announced the head of the Hungarian government.
The Prime Minister recalled that he had concluded a corresponding agreement with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, and his successor, Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, confirmed his intention to comply with this agreement. At the same time, he added that Budapest “fulfilled its minimum program.”
In addition, Orban stated that Western countries are “approaching the front line” and are already directly involved in the conflict.
Let us recall that on June 18, Orban supported Rutte’s candidacy for the post of NATO Secretary General after he promised not to interfere with Budapest’s refusal to provide military assistance to Ukraine.
