Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev Telegram channel responded to the NATO declaration, which was adopted following the alliance summit in Washington.

He quoted the part of the document that speaks of the intentions of the alliance member countries to support Kyiv “on the irreversible path to full Euro-Atlantic integration, including membership in NATO,” and responded to it.

“We must do everything to ensure that Ukraine’s “irreversible path” to NATO ends either with the disappearance of Ukraine or the disappearance of NATO”Medvedev wrote.

Let us recall that the NATO summit in Washington took place from July 9 to 11. The declaration adopted following its results also stated that Russia is a global “threat” to the union, and confirmed that the expansion strategy will remain unchanged, as will the build-up of military power of the states included in the alliance.
