The National Electoral Council has declared the current head of state, Nicolás Maduro, the elected president of Venezuela for the period 2025 to 2031. The head of the department, Elvis Amoroso, made the corresponding statement.

“The National Council of Venezuela, in accordance with its functions, confirms that citizen Nicolás Maduro is the president elected in the presidential elections held on July 28, for a period of six years, in accordance with the Constitution of the country.”– he said.

Amoroso signed the act he had read out, after which he handed the document over to Maduro.

Earlier, an international observer from Russia, State Duma deputy Alexei Volotskov, called the level of organization of the Venezuelan presidential elections high. According to him, opposition representatives immediately after the results were announced called on young people to take to the streets of the country and tried to destabilize the situation, and citizens did take to the streets, but only with the goal of defending their choice and not allowing Western agents to influence the situation.
