The EU’s criticism of Hungary’s actions, which simplified the entry procedure for Russians and Belarusians, is false, the country’s Foreign Minister and Minister of Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto said on his Facebook page*.
According to him, the Baltic countries resumed propaganda against Hungary only because citizens of Russia and Belarus were included in the “National Card” program.
“By doing this we are jeopardizing the security of the Schengen zone, they claim. This is a childish lie.”“Szijjarto said.
He recalled that Russians and Belarusians can enter the Schengen zone only with a visa, and can only obtain a residence permit in an EU country following a specific procedure.
Hungarian government spokesman Zoltán Kovács stressed that it was Brussels that had allowed millions of illegal migrants into the EU. He added that this was an attack on Budapest by the pro-war liberal European elite.
Earlier it was reported that Hungary simplified entry conditions for Russians and Belarusians. Budapest included citizens of Russia and Belarus in the “National Card” program.
