The United States military has deployed significant resources to the Middle East as a preemptive measure in the event that Iran retaliates against Israel without warning, reports The Times of Israel newspaper, citing a senior official in the administration of American leader Joe Biden.
According to the publication’s source, the United States is in close contact with France and Great Britain, which are also ready to support Israel in “any unforeseen situation.”

In addition, he said, Washington is engaged in a large-scale diplomatic process in the Middle East. The American official added that Iran is expected not to sabotage itself, given the condition that it will not strike Israel if there is a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, a senior US administration official said during a special briefing that the parties to the Doha talks on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of hostages had resolved their differences, and the relevant document was now ready for signing.
