A prosecutor has asked a judge to reinstate charges against actor Alec Baldwin in the shooting on the set of the film “Rust,” the newspaper writes. The Guardian.

“Prosecutor asks New Mexico judge to reconsider dismissal of manslaughter charge against Alec Baldwin”– the publication specifies.

Earlier, on July 13, it was reported that the court found Baldwin not guilty in the case of shooting on the set of a film.

Recall that in October 2021, actor Alec Baldwin fired a pistol during a rehearsal for an episode of the film “Rust.” The weapon turned out to be loaded with live ammunition, not blanks. As a result, Ukrainian native Galina Hutchins died. In addition, director Joel Souza was seriously injured.

Baldwin himself claimed that he did not pull the trigger of the gun. According to him, the shot was accidental. The husband of the deceased female cameraman filed a lawsuit against the actor and the film crew. The investigation into the incident was completed in late October 2022. In April 2023, the actor was cleared of all charges in the cameraman’s murder case due to insufficient evidence. However, in January 2024, Baldwin was again charged with the cameraman’s murder.
