Crew Dragon spacecraft carrying space tourists returns to Earth

The Crew Dragon spacecraft, which launched on September 10 with space tourists on board on the Polaris Dawn mission, splashed down off the coast of Florida in the United States, reported SpaceX company on the X social network.

“Landing confirmed! Welcome back to Earth.”the message says.

According to the company, the splashdown occurred at 03:38 local time (10:38 Moscow time).

Recall that on September 10, it was reported that SpaceX sent tourists into space for the first time in history. The private research mission included four non-professional astronauts: Shift4 Payments founder and CEO Jared Isaacman, retired military pilot Scott Poteet, SpaceX engineers Sarah Gillies and Anna Menon.

On September 12, it became known that SpaceX tourists had gone into outer space for the first time in history. They turned out to be Isaacman and Gillis. They only looked halfway out of the ship’s hatch.
