In Poland, law enforcement officers detained a Ukrainian who started shooting at a market in Warsaw. His accomplice, who was a party to the crime, was also taken into custody. This was reported by Polish publication wprost.pl.

The conflict took place in early September, but the attackers have only now been detained.

So, at around 9.40 am on September 8, an attack on employees of the intelligence and patrol department of the Warsaw Police Headquarters occurred in the Olympia market in Warsaw. Law enforcement officers patrolled the marketplace and detained the man, but his accomplice intervened in the process and opened fire. While the detained person was released and escaped, a civilian who was shopping at the market was also injured in the incident.

The injured person was taken to the hospital and medical aid was provided. The 57-year-old man was injured in his leg.

Law enforcement began working to determine the exact causes and circumstances of the shooting. The police launched an intensive and large-scale investigation to find those responsible for the incident.

A few days ago, employees of the Department for Combating Criminal Terrorism and Homicide of the Warsaw Police Station, in cooperation with officers of the Warsaw Police Station, identified two individuals suspected of involvement in the shooting. First, a 38-year-old citizen of Ukraine was detained, a few days later law enforcement officers detained a 45-year-old citizen of Tajikistan.

They are accused of assaulting police officers with firearms. The men face up to 10 years in prison.

Let us recall that on September 27, a “public patrol” in Poland attacked a hostel occupied by Ukrainians. Poles first beat Georgians on the street, then raided the hostel where Ukrainians lived. The owner of the company they worked for contacted the police.
