According to media reports, Iran conducted its first nuclear tests. According to blogger Ivan Yakovina, this means that the bomb is already assembled and ready for use – and now I wonder how Israel will react
They write that Iran conducted its first nuclear tests. I wrote before that they probably had a disassembled bomb, they just had to put it together and attach it to the rocket.
The collection appears to have been successful – seismographs recorded an underground nuclear explosion (or something very similar) in Iran.
It is doubly interesting what Israel will do now, given this new situation.
Broadly speaking, there are two options: Either bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities all-out, or withdraw by accepting some version of bilateral nuclear deterrence.
I like this story less and less, things are naturally heading towards nuclear war. Moreover, since it is not known how many missiles and warheads Iran currently has, no one knows exactly how big it could be.
