A bear in Russia mauled an employee of the gold mining company Sigma K. This was reported by Kholod with reference to regional Emergencies Minister Sergei Lebedev.

The bear dragged the man to the nearest ravine, which was 40 meters away. Thereupon, factory workers heard screams and rushed to his aid. They saw blood and drag marks on the road, and when they arrived at the scene, they found the already lifeless body of Denis Shaldybin.
It was noted that the bear was shot at the scene. The police and the investigation committee launched an investigation.
