Russian MP Dmitry Kuznetsov said that the Assad family “could settle in one of the new buildings in Mariupol.”
Russian parliamentarians propose to settle deposed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who fled Syria to the Russian Federation after the rebels captured the capital of Damascus, in occupied Mariupol and include him in the “restoration of Donbass”. State Duma deputy and member of the International Relations Committee Dmitry Kuznetsov said this in an interview with Russian Gazeta.ru.
Deputy Kuznetsov said that the former president of Syria should be placed with his family in Mariupol “so that he can be taken under guardianship”. Later, Kuznetsov offers to grant Russian citizenship to the dictator for his “contribution to the restoration of Donbass.”
“I think that Bashar Assad, or rather his family, could detain one of the regions of Donbass affected by military operations and settle in one of the new buildings in Mariupol. He will also be able to support Emir Kusturica for the shooting. There is a film in Donbass based on Dostoevsky, so that he can prove himself in the service of the Russian people, and then the issue of citizenship can be taken into account for his contribution to the restoration of Donbass,” said the deputy.
Let us remind you that Bild newspaper reported on December 10 that Assad could live in elite apartments in Moscow. Financial Times journalists also noted that Bashar Assad already owns 18 luxury apartments in this elite complex, which he bought for approximately 40 million dollars in the last 6 years.
On December 14, journalists of the Romanian television channel Digi 24 assumed that the Syrian dictator and his family would be settled in the elite village of Barvikha near Moscow. According to Romanian journalists, Bashar Assad may have to become a “pawn of the Kremlin” in order to receive the asylum granted by Vladimir Putin.
