Mexico City water system (SACMEX) completed the work on Luis Cabrera Avenue, in the City Hall Magdalena Contreras.
The agency said that the leak that caused the hole in the San Jeronimo area has already been completely fixed, and the backfilling and compaction of the earth have been completed, only work remains to resurface.
A total of 3 meters of damaged sewerage was replaced as a preventive measure to avoid a second failure, in addition to repairing 7 meters of a 2.52 meter drainage pipe and building a well box.
The well box was built to facilitate future inspection and maintenance. The hole was filled with 300 kg/cm2 rapid-resistance concrete, soil cement and tetratate to safely open the lane to traffic.

The work took longer than expected because an additional affectation was found in the culvert and the rains prevented working longer.
More than 15 people worked in the area, including engineers and construction workers, using high-tech equipment such as ground penetrating radars and screening cameras, as well as two excavators, dump trucks and bilge pumps.
These Jobs Benefit 7 thousand 900 inhabitants of the San Jeronimo Aculco area, mainly due to the fact that it allows the timely removal of residual water, reduces the risk of flooding and prevents the appearance of new sinkholes in the area.
