VIDEO: So in seconds a truck was stolen on the streets of Puebla

In social networks this Monday, August 29, there was a video of the moment the couple met. stole a truck parked near the church of San Jeronimo Caleras in the state of Puebla.

The footage shows the couple walking down the sidewalk as the man approaches the door. after a few moments, he manages to open it and goes in to turn it on.

At that moment, the young woman who had accompanied him and made sure no one could see them, run to get into the passenger seat and run away.

According to statistics from the Mexican Association of Insurance Institutions (AMIS), Puebla ranks fourth in the country with the highest percentage of violent vehicle thefts. Between 2018 and 2021, 46,500 vehicles were stolen in the state of Puebla; that is, approximately 31 to 32 vehicles per day.

In terms of auto parts theft, during the August 2021 pandemic, auto parts theft increased by 341% in the first eight months of 2021, according to crime data from Attorney General of the State of Puebla (FGE).

The short-lived video showed the experience of the perpetrators, who never thought that after the video went viral and was shared by thousands of social media users, their actions would cause controversy: in the comments, some criticized the government for lack of security, while others praised the ingenuity and speed thieves.
