Master recreates incredible Audi concept out of wood for his daughter (video)

The wooden Audi Skysphere can be driven thanks to an electric motor. The lighting, doors and trunk work almost identically to the original concept.

A Vietnamese craftsman has recreated an incredible Audi Skysphere concept out of wood for his daughter. Zanaatkar, ND – posted a video of making a wooden roadster on his YouTube channel Woodworking Art.

The original Audi Skysphere is the first concept in a series of “Sphere” prototypes that show the future direction of the brand. The peculiarity of the Roadster was that it could independently change the distance between the axles. This is done by opening and closing the section between the front fenders and the doors.

The process of creating a wooden copy took 2.5 months. The master first made the base of the car, then moved on to the mechanics and wheels.

The Audi concept is between 4.94 and 5.19 meters long, depending on the conversion mode. The wooden copy turned out to be much smaller – less than 3 m in length.

The Audi Skysphere model received a working steering gear and optics. It is driven by an electric motor. A wooden car does not know how to change the distance between the axles. However, its appearance has been recreated with incredible accuracy.

Previously Focus He said a copy of the Gelendvagen SUV was carved into a piece of wood.
