Familiar stranger: first photo shows an affordable new crossover from Chery

Kaiyi Tangu is a medium crossover from the new brand of the Chery concern. It has a unique design and will be offered in petrol and hybrid versions.

The first photos of Kaiyi Tangu have landed on the Internet. Chery’s new crossover will debut before the first half of this year. This is reported by the Autohome website.

Kaiyi is a new youth brand of the Chinese concern. Their models will be slightly cheaper, but they are based on the familiar Chery. In particular, the Kaiyi Tangu crossover was created on the basis of the Chery Tiggo 8, which is well known in Ukraine.

The similarity of the two cars stands out in the profile. At the same time, the Kaiyi Tangu has a distinctive front end with a large grille and “two-deck” optics. The headlights are interconnected by a light strip, and the lights are stretched across the entire width of the body. In addition, the new crossover is slightly more compact.
