Chinese company Human Horizons is preparing to launch the new electric crossover HiPhi Y, which will be the cheapest model of the brand. This was reported on the Car News China website.
The HiPhi Y is a mid-size electric crossover that will enter the premium segment. The model will enter the European market in 2024.
The more expensive HiPhi X and HiPhi Z have already gained popularity not only in China but also in other markets. They belong to the price segment above $ 72,500. The new model will be priced at around 400,000-500,000 yuan ($58,000-72,500).
HiPhi Y will have a recognizable design in the style of other cars of the brand. There are large blocks of headlights at the front and lights at the rear that are connected by an LED strip.
Other features of the electric crossover include a LiDAR sensor in the roof, a dimmed taillight strip and the absence of door handles. Instead, buttons are placed on the center pillar.

- height – 1658 mm;
- wheelbase – 2950 mm.
The curb weight of the electric crossover is in the range of 2305-2430 kg. However, there are only five seats.
There are two power plants to choose from. The basic version is offered with a single 336 hp electric motor. and a battery with a capacity of 76.6 kWh. The power reserve is 560 km.
The more expensive versions are equipped with two 504 hp electric motors and the battery capacity is 115 kWh. In this case, the power reserve increases to 810 km. Fast charging is also provided, which can charge the battery to 80% in 10 minutes.
The HiPhi Y is currently road-tested in China. Despite this, the model is almost ready for mass production.
