In the 1980s, the first prototypes of the LuAZ-2403 were created. They were used as airport tractors.
The SUV was equipped with an all-wheel drive system with a differential lock and wheel gears. It could tow trailers weighing up to 3000 kg.
LuAZ-2403 received a towing device securely welded to the frame. It has a cargo hook.

Only one LuAZ-2403 is known, which worked at the Kiev airport. Years later, the car was scrapped.
