Porsche will not return to the Russian market in the next 5 years

Porsche does not plan to return to the Russian market for at least five years. Now the parties are agreeing on an agreement to sell the assets of the German brand in the Russian Federation.

German automaker Porsche has announced that it will leave the Russian market by at least 2028. This was reported on the Autonews website.

Porsche will sell all its assets in the Russian Federation with the right of repurchase in the next 5-10 years. This information is included in the company’s annual global report.

Russian officials are now investigating the possibility of such an agreement. Details were not disclosed.

In December 2022, Porsche agreed to sell its showrooms to Russian businesses. Brand management found buyers from Porsche Russland LLC and Porsche Center Moscow LLC.

Recall that Porsche ceased its activities in the Russian Federation on March 4, 2022. The reason is Russia’s total occupation of Ukraine.

Before the end of operations in Russia, 26 brand franchises were operating. The lineup included the 718 and 911 sports cars, the Panamera sedan, and the Macan and Cayenne crossovers.

Previously Focus He reported that Volkswagen has begun to fight unofficial imports of its cars into Russia via China.
